Lendbuzz Two-Factor Authentication

Lendbuzz Two-Factor Authentication

Because of the sensitive data they store, financial institutions are prime targets for cybercriminals. To protect user accounts, two factor authentication (2FA) will eventually become mandatory for Lendbuzz users. To help with this transition, dealers can choose to add 2FA to their Lendbuzz account before the deadline. Enabling 2FA will make your account more secure, even if someone knows your password or phone number.

Effective immediately, each time you login to Lendbuzz, you will see a pop-up in the Dealer Portal inviting you to enable 2FA:

Setting up two-step verification is simple and follows the same process used by most financial institutions. You’ll need a username, password, and a verified phone number or email to receive a login code. If any of these details are missing, you'll be prompted to provide them. Once they’re set up, you can choose whether to receive your login code via email and/or phone number:

A confirmation code will be sent to the location you chose which should be entered to complete your 2FA setup:

You will know your setup is complete once you receive a “You’re all set!” message:

Once 2FA is set up, you will be asked to re-authenticate via a two-step process once every few weeks or when we detect a new device, a change from a previous geo-location or multiple unsuccessful log-in attempts. In between, you will be able to login with just your phone number.
