How we use cookies

When you access the Site or content, we (or companies we work with) may place small data files called cookies or pixel tags on your computer or other device. We use these technologies to recognize you as a customer; customize our services, content and advertising; collect information about your computer or other access device to mitigate risk and help prevent fraud. You are free to decline our cookies if your browser or browser add-on permits, but doing so may interfere with your use of the Site. The help or legal section of most browsers or browser add-ons provides instructions on blocking, deleting or disabling cookies. We do not transmit any personal or sensitive information to advertising partners. However, certain partners may collect incoming IP addresses in connection with your visits to our Site, for example, to avoid double counting the number of new members who joined as a result of an advertising campaign.

In the event that any of your information that we control is compromised as a result of a breach of security, we will take reasonable steps to investigate the situation and, where appropriate, notify you and take other steps in accordance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Upon termination or deactivation of your Lendbuzz account on the Site, we may retain your profile information and user content and information for backup, archival, or audit purposes.

Links to or from other websites and services

We are not responsible for the practices employed by websites or services linked to or from the Site, including any information or content they contain. Please remember that when you use a link to go from the Site to another website, our Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party websites or services. Your browsing and interaction on any third-party website or service, including those that have a link or advertisement on the Site, are subject to that third party’s own rules and policies. In addition, you agree that we are not responsible and we do not have control over any third-parties that you authorize to access your user content. If you are using a third-party website or service (like LinkedIn) and you allow such a third-party access to your user content, you do so at your own risk.

How we secure your information

Lendbuzz is committed to protecting the confidentiality of your information and online transactions. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards designed to protect your personal information. We have security procedures in place to safeguard against loss, theft, unauthorized access, destruction, misuse, and modification of this information after we receive it. We limit access to your personal information to those who need to have access, and when we dispose of your personal information, we do it in a secure manner. The security of your information also depends on you. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of our site, you are responsible for choosing a complex password and keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.

Your options regarding personal information

Tracking Technologies

Your browser may offer you a “Do Not Track” or “DNT” option, which allows you to opt out of certain of your online activities over time and across different websites. Many websites and applications, including ours, do not support Do Not Track requests at this time, which means that we may collect information about your online activity both while you are using the Site and after you leave our properties, as we describe above. For more information about DNT signals, please visit http://allaboutdnt.com. Other third-party websites may keep track of your browsing activities when they provide you with content, which enables them to customize what they present to you on their websites. However, most browsers will allow you to choose what cookies can be placed on your computer and to delete or disable cookies. Please note that if you decide to block cookies, some parts of our Site may not function correctly.

You may also follow the steps provided by initiatives that educate users on how to set tracking preferences for most online advertising tools. These resources include the Network Advertising Initiative (https://thenai.org/about-online-advertising/) and the Digital Advertising Alliance (https://digitaladvertisingalliance.org/). The Digital Advertising Alliance also offers an application called AppChoices (https://youradchoices.com/appchoices) that helps users to control interest-based advertising on mobile apps.

Promotional Offers from Us

You may elect to opt out of receipt of communications from us by following the instructions provided in such communications or by contacting us as provided below. Even after opting out, you may still receive service oriented, non-promotional communications from us and promotional communications from other third parties as a result of their own interactions or transactions with you. Please allow time for us to process your request or contact us should you have any concerns about your opt-out request.

How you can access or change your personal information

You can review some of your personal information, and you can change your debit card number stored with our third-party service provider, at any time by logging into our website.  You may update your contact information by contacting us, see the “How you can contact us” section below in this Privacy Policy for our contact information.

Children’s privacy

We do not knowingly collect or solicit any information from anyone under the age of 18 or knowingly allow such persons to register as users. The Site and its content are not directed at children under the age of 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a person under age 18, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that we might have any information from a person under 18, please contact us at help@lendbuzz.com.

We may amend this policy from time to time to reflect the changes in our business and practices, and so you should review this page periodically. The revised version will be effective at the time we post it. If we make a material change, we will notify you of the changes by posting a Policy Update and update the ‘last modified’ date at the top of this page.
